On dealing with the perceived judgement of others

(In response to a concern about people judging barefooters negatively, a member replied:)

So you fear is based on the assumption [of] what other people might possibly think.  Is your intention to make those other people happy? Or are you going barefoot to make yourself happy? 🙂

I’ve gone through this multiple times – by going barefoot, by painting my nails, by wearing a skirt, by wearing makeup. And each time I learned that it’s impossible to guess what others might think. Everyone of them has a different mindset and a different opinion. You just can’t please all of them and that’s also not our job.

Sure, by going barefoot we polarize, but for any one who dislikes it there’s at least one who thinks it’s great.  But as we don’t know, it’s best to just do it, because it makes us happy and by showing that we get them thinking.  We’re planting little growing seeds and with time it might help them to throw off their foot coffins too. 🙂
