Barefooting does get easier as I age, less confrontation and more respect. Not that 37 is old, but a woman does get more appreciative glances at my age if she is wearing or doing something outside the mainstream. I do get a lot of possitive comments from teen-agers, and some that follow my example as soon as they see me. I always felt that I would change the world starting with my own children, now I see that influence spreading to their friends and beyond.
