From: Stefan Holzinger Subject: Barefoot at a fair Date: Mon, 17 Mar 1997 11:01:01 +0100 This weekend I visited one of those bigger fairs. No, it wasn't CeBit, it was 'Bauen und Wohnen' (building and living) in Vienna. Well, perhaps big relates just for here: The area was approx. 1 squaremile. All concrete and asphalt of course :( Since I knew I would do a lot of walking on unfriendly ground I dosed my feet with a moisturizing cream beforehand. All in all I the experience that it's better to leave those shoes at home: I didn't develop any blisters and my feet didn't hurt at all. What a difference to my shod times! Note that I had a few encounters with shoddies but most of them were on the positive side. Funny: all of the salespeople were on the envy-side (if only I could get rid of those sh*&@!!!). Negatives came from visitors only. I've seen this earlier but I just don't know why... But the best part when I tested (tasted!?!) various floorings. This always produced a small crowd. Some thought it fun, some thought it crazy, others stared that I feared their eyes will pop out... Well, I had to make a bit of a show out of it: "Ah, that's great! - no, that's too polished, but here we are..." It's a pity you couldn't see the faces! Stefan Continue to be yourself because in the end that's what people will remember about you.
