Dear Mr. Rupprecht:
Thank you for your undated letter to our Director concerning our laws or regulations enforced by this department requiring customers of food establishments to wear shoes and/or shirts.
Arkansas regulations pertaining to food service establishments (restaurants) and food stores (retail grocery stores) do not require the wearing of shirts or shoes by the general public. Some stores may require such and make reference to the "Health Department," but the Arkansas Department of Health does not have such a requirement.
Thank you again for your inquiry. Should you have comments or other questions, please do not hesitate to contact this office.
Truly yours,
(signed)
