Dear Mr. Shakely:
Nebraska has no statutes requiring customers to wear footwear in food establishments. It is up to the establishment whether customers may enter their businesses without shoes or suitable attire. I have been told that, because of insurance company policies, food establishments require customers to have footwear.
Please contact this office if we can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
George H. Hansen, R.E.H.S. Food Division Manager |
