Dear Mr. Korsky:
I have received your inquiry regarding any regulations that state a requriement for shoes or other footwear for the general public in places such as restaurants or retail establishments. Neither the State of New Mexico Department of Health nor the State of New Mexico Environment Department has a law or regulation that requires the public to wear shoes in these establishments. There may, however, be a facility requirement for such.
I hope this has satisfactorily answered your inquiry.
Sincerely,
(signed)
J. Alex Valdez
