NETGUIDE Magazine May 1995 CyberGuide Leisure Time, Page 93 Dirty Sole Society Home Page There's an invasion afoot. Stemming primarily from the west coast, people who "hate shoes" and "enjoy walking barefoot as nature intended" are forming groups like the Barefoot Hikers and the Dirty Sole Society. (Sound like rock groups? How about Anti-Sole Asylum or Four Non-Shod Blondes?) Now, with the Dirty Sole Society Home Page, barefooters trekking around the World-Wide Web have a place to hang their ... well, a place to call home. Here, together with a basic statement of purpose, you will also find information on current events in the Dirty Sole community--from reports of previous outings, complete with pictures of bare feet, to updates on the next planned hike. Check the online FAQ for questions like "Doesn't it hurt?" and "Isn't is gross?" Personally, we'd like to see how they fare during a New England winter or a humid day in a New York City subway.
